GACD awards research grants in implementation science that focus on improving health equity in non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and management globally.
By funding world-class research, the GACD aims to contribute to the evidence base that helps policymakers and practitioners make informed decisions on addressing NCDs in areas around the world where the need is greatest. Active calls
The 9th GACD Call Implementation research for management of multiple long-term conditions in the context of NCDs remains open through the US NIH. Find out more about the remit and how to apply.
The 10th GACD Call Strengthening Health Systems has closed. The European Commission communicated the evaluation results in February 2026. The joint-process funders announced the grants in May 2026. The opening of the call by NIH is expected by the end of 2026.
The 11th GACD Multisectoral Approaches call submissions closed by the EuropeanCommission and the joint-process funders. To find out more, please see the Multisectoral Approaches Call webpage. We expect the NIH GACD Health Systems & Multisectoral Approaches call to be announced in 2026.
The 12th GACD Call Children and Young People NCD: European Commission / Horizon Europe will run the call (HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-10) with a single-stage application process. The call submission will open on 10 February 2027 and close on 13 April 2027. We expect announcement of the joint-process in Autumn 2026.
