Over 150 delegates from across the world will gather in Kigali, Rwanda for the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), taking place from 9 to 12 June 2025.

With a packed agenda featuring technical workshops, project showcases, and interactive sessions, this year’s ASM promises to be a dynamic space for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advancing implementation science to address noncommunicable diseases.

In a short video message, GACD CEO Morven Roberts shares her reflections on the importance of this year’s gathering. “The ASM is more than just a meeting. It’s a chance to connect, share, and spark new ideas to accelerate progress on addressing non-communicable diseases”. Watch the GACD CEO welcome message.

Delegates will also participate in the popular GACD Film Festival and Knowledge Sharing Competition, highlighting creative and impactful ways of communicating science and implementation research.

This year’s meeting places a strong emphasis on sustainability and cultural sensitivity. Delegates have been encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and coffee cups, and to engage with local culture by learning simple phrases in Kinyarwanda, Rwanda’s national language.
