A key objective for GACD is to strengthen capacity in implementation research to advance prevention and treatment for NCDs.

GACD supports and delivers a portfolio of capacity development activities and resources, including:

  • The GACD Implementation Science e-Hub, a comprehensive and free online learning space for knowledge and skill development in implementation research, particularly in relation to chronic and non-communicable diseases.

  • Regular live training events, such as the flagship GACD Implementation Science School, which takes place annually and is facilitated by some of the field’s most prominent global experts.

  • Creating and collating resources to improve the quality of implementation resource, such as our digital health report and stakeholder engagement resources.

These activities are possible through the invaluable contribution of a cadre of senior experts and other investigators who volunteer their time and expertise to develop and improve the content and delivery of GACD capacity building activities.

  • Our Senior Faculty oversee the development and delivery GACD’s implementation science training, guide trainees during live sessions, support the Junior Faculty, and contribute lectures to GACD e-Hub programmes. The Senior Faculty are the foundation of GACD training events and activities.
