This new date allows sufficient time for Rwanda to manage its current health challenges while ensuring a safe gathering of researchers. We remain committed to holding the ASM in Rwanda with its strong initiatives in NCDs and public health.
In light of the postponement, we will only hold one in person ASM in 2025 that will last four days (rather than trying to fit in the postponed 2024 ASM and a new separate 2025 ASM). This will allow us to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for all delegates.
For delegates registered for the 2024 ASM: If you are currently registered for the 2024 ASM, you will have to re-register to participate, as prior registrations do not carry over. . If you had already booked flights and accommodation for the 2024 ASM, we encourage you to reschedule your bookings to align with the new dates in June 2025 if possible. Please contact your airline and accommodation provider directly to see what works.
Reopening of registration: We will be reopening registration to allow more delegates to join us for this exciting knowledge-sharing event. If you or any of your project team members missed the original registration period, you will have the opportunity to register for the upcoming meeting. Registration details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Competitions and entries: We will also reopen submissions for both the Film Festival and the Knowledge Sharing Competition as we will hold only one ASM in 2025. If you have already submitted an entry for the 2024 ASM, your submission remains valid for the postponed meeting in 2025. We also encourage new submissions, so if you missed the original deadline, you have another opportunity to submit your work to be showcased during the 2025 ASM.
We look forward to welcoming delegates to Kigali in June 2025 for what promises to be an inspiring and productive meeting.
