UCL’s Grand Challenge of Global Health has been holding an in-depth season of seminars, talks, multi media and public engagement events to highlight the economic, social and branding effects of non communicable diseases.

Event highlights included a panel discussion on “What’s making us fat?” including leading academics and Tesco’s chief marketing officer, “Addressing the global burden of depression,” with unique insight from Professor Vikram Patel and ministry of health representative from Mozambique Palmira Fortunato Dos Santos, a country of just 9 psychiatrists and a lively debate around the branding of NCDs, with experts from the BBC and NCD Free.
