The Lancet publishes GACD multimorbidity statement
The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases has published a bold statement calling for governments and funding bodies to consider a holistic approach to funding research for NCDs.
The GACD multimorbidity working group commented: “We argue that multimorbidity has not been adequately recognised in current policy and funding priorities and therefore in research, healthcare provision and healthcare education. Moreover, multimorbidity research in the field has been hampered by the absence of an agreed definition across investigators.”
